BD Biosciences to Use Polypure's PEGs in Molecular Diagnostics

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Polypure said today that it will supply Becton Dickinson Biosciences with polyethylene glycol products for use in BD’s diagnostics programs.
 
Under the five-year agreement, Polypure will provide BD with specialized monodisperse PEGs for existing and in-development diagnostic programs.
 
The company claims that its monodisperse PEG products offer performance and cost advantages over polydisperse PEG derivatives, including improved cross-linking, binding, and lot-to-lot reproducibility.
 
Financial terms of the agreement were not provided.
