BCW Index Gains 1.9 Percent for the Week

The BCW Index climbed 1.86 percent for the five-day trading period ended Tuesday. The Index beat the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which gained 1.18 percent. The Nasdaq and Nasdaq Biotech Index both lost ground during the tracking period, falling .88 percent and 1.38 percent, respectively.

Beckman Coulter, Waters, and Applied Biosystems led the 12 firms in the Index that gained ground last week, with all of their stock prices increasing more than 5 percent. Bio-Rad Laboratories led the four decliners with a drop of 1.59 percent.
