Ariadne Genomics, Jubilant Biosys Pen Marketing Deal; Stratagene Makes Out

NEW YORK, Feb. 16 (GenomeWeb News) - Under a new alliance, users of Ariadne Genomics' PathwayAssist software will be able to access Jubilant Biosys' PathArt database of biochemical pathways "for an additional fee," the companies said today.

PathwayAssist is desktop software that enables researchers visualize and analyze biological pathways, gene-regulation networks, and protein-interaction maps. It is distributed by Stratagene as a part of the IobionLab suite of biological software tools.

PathArt, meantime, is a database of manually curated pathways comprising more than 600 signaling and metabolic pathways for diseases including cancer, Alzheimer', arthritis, multiple sclerosis, asthma, arthrosclerosis, and diabetes. Stratagene will begin distributing it in the early spring.
