Applied DNA Sciences to Acquire IP from Biowell Technologies

NEW YORK, Feb. 8 (GenomeWeb News) - Applied DNA Sciences said today that it will acquire all rights, title, and interest in the intellectual property of Biowell Technologies, including DNA technology used in Biowell's global security and anti-counterfeiting applications.

 

Under the terms of the agreement, Taiwan-based Biowell will transfer ownership of its IP to a subsidiary, which a wholly owned subsidiary of Applied DNA will subsequently acquire, the companies said.

 

In exchange, Biowell shareholders will receive shares of Applied DNA Sciences' common stock.
