Applera Will Pay CEO Tony White $1.15M in Base Salary in Fiscal 2007

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Applera will pay CEO Tony White $1.15 million in base salary in fiscal 2007, which began July 1, according to a Securities and Exchange filing released yesterday.
The company also granted White 134,820 restricted shares of Applied Biosystems stock and 57,780 restricted shares of Celera stock, according to the SEC filing.
White’s salary was approved during an Aug. 17 meeting of the company’s management resources committee. The committee also approved fiscal 2007 salaries for the following Applera officials:
Catherine Burzik, ABI president, will receive $680,000; Barbara Kerr, vice president of human resources, will pocket $390,000; Kathy Ordoñez, president of Celera Genomics, will earn $567,840; William Sawch, senior vice president and general counsel, will receive $525,200; and Dennis Winger, senior vice president and chief financial officer, will earn $594,880.
