Ambion Gets $10.5M Financing for RNA Research

NEW YORK, May 1 - RNA provider Ambion has raised $10.5 million in a private financing, the company said today.


The financing was led by VC firm Telegraph Hill Partners, of San Francisco. Consequently, Ambion has appointed J. Matthew Mackowski of Telegraph Hill to its Board of Directors.


The company is planning to use the financing to grow its business in RNA research, including clinical applications of RNA, Ambion CEO Matt Winkler said in a statement.
