In this atlas, authors Hongwei Dong and the Allen Institute for Brain Science have created a full-color brain atlas of Nissl-stained fresh-frozen tissue from young adult male mice. To be used in complement with the Allen Brain Atlas gene expression database, the atlas includes coronal and sagittal sections and color-coded brain structure delineations. It comes with a free CD-ROM, which can be used in conjuction with online graphical, gene expression, and informatics tools.
