Affymetrix to Supply ParAllele Biosciences with GeneChip Arrays

NEW YORK, March 18 - Affymetrix and ParAllele Biosciences have signed an agreement wherein Affymetrix will supply ParAllele with GeneChip-brand microarrays to use in its SNP genotyping technology, the companies said today.


Under the three-year agreement, Affymetrix will provide ParAllele, of South San Francisco, with custom and catalog tag arrays to use with its commercial genotyping service business and in its collaborations with pharmaceutical companies. Parallele will also work to design SNP assays based on the Affymetrix platform.


The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement.
