Affymetrix Gives Aventis Early Access to High Throughput Platform

NEW YORK, March 3 (GenomeWeb News) - Affymetrix will give Aventis Pharmaceuticals early access to its high throughput microarray system, the company said today.


The new system, called GeneChip HTA, uses a standard 96-well plate footprint and can process 96 U133A human genome microarrays in parallel. It consists of an array plate, a scanner, tracking software, an assay protocol, and automation specifications.
