Affymetrix and Perlegen Join to Offer Genotyping Service

NEW YORK, July 6 (GenomeWeb News) - Affymetrix and Perlegen Sciences will jointly offer a custom genotyping service, the companies said today.

 

Under the agreement, Affymetrix will market the service to customers, while Perlegen will analyze customer samples using its high-throughput genotyping technology.

 

The service will cover projects ranging from several thousand to 50,000 SNPs in up to several thousand samples. Perlegen's genotyping system is based on Affymetrix's microarray technology.
