Affy to Distribute Agencourt s Nucleic Acid-Prep Product

NEW YORK, Nov. 29 (GenomeWeb News) - Agencourt Bioscience's RNAClean nucleic acid-purification product will be included in Affymetrix' GeneChip Array Station reagent kits, Agencourt's parent, Beckman Coulter, said today.


RNAClean, which uses magnetic bead technology called SPRI, enables researchers to use one product to complete both cDNA and cRNA purification steps, Beckman said. Affymetrix will incorporate the SPRI technology into the GeneChip Array Station reagent product offering.


Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
