NEW YORK, Sept. 5 - Affymetrix has teamed with Biotique Systems to provide free, web-based bioinformatics tools that can view transcript data for human chromosomes 21 and 22, the companies said today.
The transcriptome data, which include mRNA and non-coding RNAs linked to structural and regulatory functions, were published in May by researchers from Affymetrix and the National Cancer Institute, according to Affy.
Biotique's Local Integration System software lets researchers "browse and visualize and do analysis" on the transcriptome data, Biotique President John Burke told GenomeWeb.
The system will be read-only and include approximately 30 percent of the functionality of Biotique's software, said Burke.
