NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Japanese firm Acobio has signed an exclusive agreement to distribute SAW Instruments' sam range of acoustic biosensors in Japan.

The biosensors enable researchers to study real-time kinetics on the surface of live mammalian cells. The sam line of sensors, unlike other cell-based detection platforms, don't require fluorescent labeling, are real-time rather than steady state, and can use unfixed cells adhered to the sensor surface or in suspension.
