Accuri Closes $13M Series C Financing

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) - Accuri Cytometers said today that it has closed a $13 million Series C financing round led by Fidelity Biosciences and Flagship Ventures.
Current investors including Baird Venture Partners and Arboretum Ventures also participated in the financing.
Accuri said it will use the proceeds to expand marketing and sales activities for its Accuri C6 Flow Cytometer System, a benchtop cell analysis system that is a “fraction of the cost” of comparable flow cytometers, according to the company.
Concurrent with the financing, Bahaa Fam, a venture partner with Fidelity Biosciences, and Harry Wilcox, a partner at Flagship Ventures, will join Accuri’s board of directors.
