Accelrys Receives Nasdaq Compliance Notice After Failure to File Financial Report

NEW YORK, Feb. 20 (GenomeWeb News) - Accelrys said on Friday that it has received a notice from the Nasdaq that the company is not in compliance with the exchange's rules after failing to file its fourth-quarter financial report on time.

Accelrys said the notice was expected, and that it "remains in continuing discussions with the [US] Securities and Exchange Commission with respect to the accounting treatment for certain of its contracts."

The company said that it cannot identify a time when its financial report will be filed, and that it plans to request a hearing before the Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel in order to ask for a continued listing of its stock while it completes its financial report.
