Accelr8 Extends Microarray Slide Production for Schott Nexterion

NEW YORK, June 10 (GenomeWeb News) - Accelr8 Technology will manufacture two types of microarray slides using its surface chemistry for Schott Nexterion, Accelr8 said yesterday.

Under the agreement, which expires at the end of the year, Accelr8 will produce Nexterion Slide HS, using its OptiChem surface chemistry, and will continue to supply Nexterion Slide H exclusively to Schott.

Accelr8 has since October been manufacturing Slide HS, which has a streptavidin surface, and has exclusively produced Slide H for Schott since November. Schott may also obtain an exclusive manufacturing and distribution license for Slide HS from Accelr8 later this year.

Product revenues for Accelr8 from the agreement will total approximately $150,000 for the rest of the year, according to the company.
