ABI to Distribute Eksigent s Tempo Liquid Chromatography System

NEW YORK, Jan. 10 (GenomeWeb News) - Eksigent Technologies signed a distribution agreement with Applied Biosystems for a line of high performance liquid chromatography systems, the company said today.


Under the agreement, Eksigent will integrate its Microfluidic Flow Control technology with Applied Biosystems/MDS SCIEX mass spectrometers to create the Tempo liquid chromatography systems. The line includes platforms for nano LC, high-throughput micro LC and an LC-MALDI deposition system.


Applied Biosystems/MDS SCIEX will service and sell the resulting line as front ends to their mass spectrometers, Eksigent said.


Applied Biosystems/MDS SCIEX is a joint venture between ABI, an Applera business, and MDS SCIEX, a MDS division.
