ABI Adds GeneticXchange Middleware

NEW YORK, July 30-Applied Biosystems will add GeneticXchange data integration software to its informatics package, the two companies said today.


Under the agreement, Applied Biosystems will act as a global reseller for GeneticXchange's DiscoveryHub system, which will permit searching and querying of biological data generated by experiments with ABI machines and software.


Financial details of the arrangement were not disclosed.


The program will be offered through ABI's Rapid Integration Solutions informatics and integration system.


DiscoveryHub is a middleware technology designed to coordinate and integrate data. GeneticXchange is located in Menlo Park, Calif.
