20/20 GeneSystems Scoops up $250K in Maryland Awards

NEW YORK, Aug. 1-Maryland biotechnology development agencies granted 20/20 Gene Systems $250,000 this month, the company said on Tuesday.


MdBio, a non-profit biotech industry development agency, awarded the company $150,000 to increase its manufacturing capacity. 20/20 GeneSystems also got $50,000 from the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development and an additional $50,000 from the Maryland Technology Development Corporation for a collaborative project with the National Cancer Institute.


The company is developing a product, P-FILM, that multiplexes a Western blot to allow parallel protein analysis from one gel.


20/20 GeneSystems is based in Rockville, Md.
