Yeast Study Implicates DNA Repair Method in Mutation

Using a frameshift reporter assays in the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, an international team has shown that the "break-induced replication" DNA repair method can dramatically increase the likelihood of mutation in the genome.
