Researchers Find De Novo Autism Mutations Using Exome Sequencing

By sequencing 20 parent-child trios from families affected by sporadic autism, as well as 20 control exomes, researchers have identified several autism spectrum disorder-associated mutations, including a handful of de novo mutations suspected of causing the condition.
