The GenomeWeb Intelligence Network search engine uses most standard
search techniques. Some of the most common that you might be interested
in using are...
Search for exact phrases using quotation
marks (" "):
Typing "polymerase chain reaction" or "sanger centre" will find items
with that exact phrase.
Use the minus sign (-) to narrow your
search:
If you enter genotyping -SNP, that tells the search
engine to include the word genotyping but not SNP.
Don't forget - there's no space after the minus sign (e.g. -SNP).
Use a wildcard (*) for multiple endings:
By typing an * (asterisk symbol) at the end of a word, you can search
for items with multiple endings. For example: microarray* would return
items such as microarrays, microarrayers, etc.
