Quanterix, Gothenberg Researchers Show Potential Link Between Heart Attacks and Alzheimer's Marker
Using the company's Single Molecule Array protein detection platform, the scientists found increased levels of Alzheimer's biomarker Abeta1-42 in the blood of heart attack patients, suggesting a relationship between AD and cardiovascular conditions that reduce oxygen levels in the brain.
