RNA Sequencing on the Heliscope Discovers Satellite Transcripts with Potential as Cancer Biomarkers
The researchers used digital gene-expression profiling to identify an abundance of satellite repeats, which are linked to gene silencing and chromosome maintenance and could potentially be used as biomarkers for early diagnosis of cancer.
