Researchers Identify 12 Genomic Regions Associated with Type 2 Diabetes Predisposition
In a meta-analysis of eight type 2 diabetes studies involving more than 8,000 diabetes patients and nearly 39,000 controls of European descent, researchers linked variants in 12 regions on the genome with increased risk of type 2 diabetes.
