NHGRI to Reduce Funding for Big Genome Centers, Add New Components to Large-Scale Sequencing Program

Several big genome centers will see a reduction in overall funding under a tentative four-year plan for the large-scale sequencing program, while new additions include a mid-sized Center for Mendelian Disorders, exploratory clinical sequencing projects, and support for the development of robust sequence analysis tools.
