DNA Repair Technique Enabled Researchers to Sequence Ancient Hominin Genome, Detect Methylation
A team of researchers led by Svante Pääbo developed a method to repair ancient DNA, which allowed them to sequence the nuclear genome of a previously unknown ancient hominin species, and also detect methylation sites.
