Lockheed Martin to Apply Text Mining to Medical Records to Merge Phenotypic, Genomic Data
The researchers are using Lockheed Martin's rule-based natural language processing platform, called ClinRead, to extract phenotypic descriptors from a set of clinical records tracking 33 men with prostate cancer for over 15 years before they succumbed to the disease.
