NY State Regulating DTC Genomics Firms as Labs
Despite claims by DTC genomics firms that they shouldn't be regulated as clinical labs, New York State is doing just that. A state health department official said companies that obtain raw data from an analytical testing facility and send a report to an ordering practitioner are considered laboratories.
