At XGen Congress, Researchers Trumpet Single-Cell Nucleic Acid Amplification Methods

Researchers are using the methods in situations where averaging gene expression from many cells or tissues might mask important individual variations, such as in cancer stem cell research. The technique is also being explored as a way to prepare DNA for subsequent downstream sequencing studies of individual cells.
