Scientific Editor Position Available at Genes and Development
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press is seeking an Assistant Editor for its journal, Genes & Development. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in the biological sciences. Post-doctoral experience is strongly recommended. A broad interest in current biomedical research and experience in the communication of science are essential.
Responsibilities include assisting the Editor with manuscript review and selection, communication with authors and reviewers, special projects, engagement with digital publication strategies, representing the journal at conferences, and identifying emerging trends in research.
A Ph.D. in the biological sciences is required and post-doctoral experience is strongly desired. The ideal candidate must be outgoing, and have excellent interpersonal skills. Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills, creativity, ability to multitask and meet deadlines are significant requirements.
