Marketing Manager, Assay automation

Job Description: 

- Develop and communicate vision and direction with regional business teams as it relates to the portfolio of QIAGEN MDx regulated assays
- Support achievement of regional goals relating to business unit plan
- Lead regional business in order to develop and implement annual marketing plan in line with A) customer needs B) strategic direction of company
- Development of the regional marketing budget for regional business plan
- Communicate, inspire, motivate and inform colleagues in sales, service and customer satisfaction teams - ensuring clear direction
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers/networks/opinion leaders
- Manage launches within the plan - including training, support and development of sales tools
- Analyze competitive market pressures and develop differentiated messages for QIAGEN regulated products in both the laboratory and clinical segments
- Cultivate thought-leaders from the realms of science and medicine that will participate in faculty bureaus
- Monitor and report revenues and results from laboratory and clinical education initiatives
- Co-develop pricing structures and forecasting tools
- Promote product portfolio development that inspires future customer needs
- Managing project team – to lead, motivate and develop team members
- Work with regulatory team on products that require regulatory guidance
- Develop laboratory messaging that can be utilized and crafted into collateral, web-based and social media tools

Requirements: 

- This position will require up to 30% travel
- Minimum 5+ years experience in marketing specifically in the molecular or clinical diagnostics market
- Experience in market analysis, customer segmentation analysis preferred
-Knowledge of FDA 510K/PMA/LDT/ASR regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated aptitude to quickly learn QIAGEN products and competitive molecular technologies
- Proven ability to manage projects to completion, satisfying all objectives including time and cost budget
- Bachelors degree required
- Advanced degree (MBA/MPH) preferred
- Work location in Germantown, Maryland
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills required
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization by phone, by email, and in person
- Proven ability to interact with customers in a positive, friendly and professional manner
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required
- Advanced knowledge of healthcare industry, women’s health, and molecular diagnostics strongly preferred
