Instrumentation Engineer

Job Description: 

Individual will perform installations of complex scientific electro-mechanical instrumentation at customer sites and be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and technical support of same. Individual will also be responsible for applications development support through method programming and instrument testing at local site. The position is Madison based, but will require work both in the local office as well as at customer sites throughout the US as needed.

Requirements: 

•Bachelor’s or Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or scientific discipline, with 2+ years post-graduate practical experience
•Provide direct on site installation, maintenance, repair, and e-mail/telephone technical support for US customer base
•Professional experience in customer interaction and support
•Keep accurate records of service calls
•Maintain inventory of service parts, tools and test equipment
•Min 2 years of automation development or field service experience with scientific or medical instrumentation
•Excellent PC skills, including Windows XP, Microsoft Office
•Ability to multitask and work under pressure
•Strong organization, communication and follow up skills
•Ability to program robotics for new method applications
•Combination of scientific and automation/robotics experience a plus
