Job Description: 

A postdoctoral research position is available immediately at Duke University’s Institute for Genome Sciences & Policy (IGSP). Our well-funded laboratory is focused on the role of genetic and epigenetic alterations in human leukemias and lymphomas.

The candidate will focus on the development of new methods for the integrative analysis of high throughput sequencing data that combines genetic, epigenetic and expression data from individual patient tumors. The ultimate goal of this project is identify new treatment options for cancer patients based on the molecular characteristics of the tumor.

We have cutting-edge sequencing and computational resources, and a productive lab group with expertise in bioinformatics, statistics, genomics and molecular and cancer biology. Our early work has been published in a number of top-tier journals. (e.g. Love et al, Nature Genetics 2012, Zhang et al, PNAS 2013, etc.) This work represents the beginning of a rich pipeline of potentially transformative projects.


Successful candidates will have a PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics or related field, and an interest in cancer.
