Job Description: 

This key role within the BCW Finance group provides financial support and analysis to the Diagnostic Laboratories (DL) and Organ Procurement Organization / Tissue Bank (OPO/TB) service lines. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial support to the recently formed parent organization for BCW. This role will partner with all levels of leadership within DL and OPO/TB and will report to the Manager, Finance.

The Sr. Financial Analyst will work as a partner with the executives and leadership teams of DL and OPO/TB to prepare long term financial plans, budgets, forecasts, sales analysis, financial reporting, and analysis for current operations, as well as to provide financial support for business opportunities. The Sr. Financial Analyst will develop and analyze financial and statistical reports, cost models, and trend analysis.

We will rely on you to participate in the development of prices and price structures for current and new services, complete the annual Medicare cost report, and respond to Medicare audits. The Sr. Financial Analyst will develop an understanding of the business and process flows for DL and OPO/TB, make recommendations for executing operational improvements to enhance financial margins / business growth, and provide leadership for organizational and service line initiatives and special projects, as needed. This role will also have responsibility for accounting, consolidations, and financial reporting for the parent organization, as well as participate in developing, maintaining, and improving financial systems and reporting.

Requirements: 

The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service, communication, reasoning, and analytical skills. Candidates must be able to interpret, trend, and explain financial concepts to management. The ability to organize, prioritize, manage, and accurately complete multiple projects within established timelines is essential. Extensive working knowledge of spreadsheet, database, and other PC applications including creation of documents, graphs and reports is required; extensive knowledge of Crystal or report writing software is preferred.

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or finance with a strong background in accounting, and at least five years progressive experience in a comprehensive, dynamic accounting environment. Experience providing financial analysis in support of operational activities is critical, along with developing and using integrated financial software tools and report writing. Master’s degree and CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is preferred, and experience with Medicare cost reporting is a plus.
