Our client is a West Coast based life sciences company specializing in Target Enrichment for Next Generation Sequencing.
Qualifications and Experience
Individual must possess 5 to 10 years of direct life science capital equipment and reagent sales experience with a successful track record of over plan quota performance. Ideal candidate will have multiple consecutive years of proven territory growth and account development. Demonstrated knowledge of next generation sequencing technologies required. Experience in sales of NGS platforms and/or target enrichment products to clinical and translational researchers including CLIA-certified labs is a strong plus. Hands-on experience in NGS is a strong plus. The position will involve significant domestic travel (>50%) and will require working closely with marketing, product development and field applications teams. Applicants must have strong analytical, problem solving and communication and presentation skills. Candidate must be able to work independently and have a proven successful track record of uncovering and closing opportunities in new accounts.
Responsibilities include achieving revenue grow targets on a quarterly and annual bases in both reagents and capital equipment, conducting demonstrations, seminars, working tradeshows, follow up to assure customer satisfaction and providing insight regarding competitive products and technologies. Demonstrated knowledge of next generation sequencing technologies required.
Individual must possess a B.S, M.S. or Ph.D. in molecular cellular biology, or a related discipline. MBA or PhD is a plus. Applicant must reside in California. The qualification for Sales Director position is dependent on past achievement and experience.
Essential Job Requirements:
