-BS/BE in Engineering with a focus on fluid dynamics mass and heat transfer in fluid environments and 10+ years of experience in a development environment with increasing responsibility, or an MS/PhD degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
-Strong analytical and empirical skill in fluid dynamics, including computer modeling of mass and heat transport for fluids (e.g. COMSOL)
-Knowledge and experience using 3D modeling systems (SolidWorks)
-Demonstrated experience in design, development and transfer of microfluidic devices to high volume manufacturing (>100K/year).
-Experience with low volume fluid delivery systems; pumps, valves, tubing, fittings, etc. where avoiding contamination/cross contamination is critical.
-Experience with molded microfluidic devices – design and manufacturing techniques. Experience working with third parties in the production of high quality, functional microfluidic devices.
-Excellent analytical, organizational, and planning skills, with great attention to detail and record-keeping in both lab notebook and electronic documentation. Knowledge of Medical Device Design Controls (CFR 820.30) a plus.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
-Ability to multitask and adapt to rapidly changing requirements, priorities and tight schedules
