We are looking for a highly motivated scientist with experience in immunoassay development, protein characterization, and antibody development to join the Therapeutic Antibody Screening team. This scientist will design and develop immunoassays such as ELISA and cell based immunoassays suitable for high throughput antibody screenings; develop and execute target-specific primary screening plans; compile multifaceted screening data and report findings to the team. Strong critical thinking skills and ability to maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced, deadline driven project-oriented team environment is essential.
- Design immunoassays to assess antibody candidate functional properties
- Execute assays as a part of antibody high throughput screenings.
- Design and execute cell binding assays to categorize the epitope diversity of the antibodies in the collection
- Optimize assays for quantitative characterization of the properties of lead antibodies.
- Collaborate with multi functional units within the department and outside the department, design and refine target specific antibody screening plan
- Organize and execute screenings according to the screening plan
- Interpret experimental results, prepare written and oral presentations to the screening team and interdepartmental project team
PhD with a minimum of two years of post graduate hands-on bench research/development experience required. 2 years lab experience post graduation. Prefer industrial experience
Candidates should have a strong background in vitro protein characterization, such as ligand/receptor binding characterization and quantitative potency determination, protein structure-function relationship in the field of biochemistry or immunology.
Experience with immunoassays, cell binding assays, and protein characterization required. High throughput screening experience and familiarity with liquid handlers are beneficial. Must be able to multitask and communicate effectively within a large team. Ideal candidate should have experience working as an independent individual researcher as well as a collaborative team member. Ability to perform rigorous data analysis and critical thinking skills are required.
Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and graphical analysis software required. Excellent adaptability and flexibility essential.
