Job Description: 

The Senior Program Manager will oversee the timelines and logistics of one or more key clinical diagnostic projects in Ion Torrent. This position is required to work closely with the diagnostic technical leader and the diagnostic business leader on the program teams to ensure the diagnostic strategy alignment and successful project execution to meet the company goals.

Responsibilities include:· Managing the overall project timelines, dependencies, resource planning, and phase deliverables· Conduct project and program level risk assessment and come up with risk mitigation and contingency plans; constantly drive the teams on how to meet the “time-to-market” goal, yet ensure the products to meet the regulatory and quality standards· Is responsible for coaching design controls, keeping project Design History Files, and for managing the product traceability by working with cross functional team members· Working with relevant functional team members, is responsible for overseeing the deliverables from the internal suppliers within LIFE as well as the once from external suppliers or partners, from the program management’s perspective.

Requirements: 

· Diagnostic (IVD) product development skills and experience is a must. Must have a demonstrated track record in direct program management (not a line functional management) on projects led to successful CE-IVD registration and 510K clearance; direct experience and good understanding on design controls and CE-IVD and 510k requirements · Must have a strong sense of ownership and commitment on the projects assigned; must have a can-do attitude, and is willing to drive, and capable of driving, the assigned projects at both the strategic level (overall vision and strategies) and the execution level (be a task owner himself/herself, i.e. a “do-er”)· Basic project management skills (such as practicing PMBOK) and leadership skill is a must; ability to positively influence project teams is required

· Degree in a scientific/engineering discipline, such as molecular biology, biochemistry or genomics, engineering, is high desired· Degree in a scientific discipline such as molecular biology, biochemistry, or genomic· Excellent oral and written communication skill is required
