We are seeking an outstanding individual to contribute to the development of representation standards in the field of model-based drug discovery and their software support, within the BioModels project at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory-European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) located on the Wellcome Trust Genome Campus near Cambridge in the UK.
Pharmacokinetics and pharmodynamics are disciplines which rely heavily on quantitative models of drug administration and action. To share and re-use the models throughout the drug development pipeline requires standard descriptions of model and associated data.
As our successful candidate you will join an exciting collaboration between several of the largest pharmaceutical industries and many of the expert academic European groups. Within the Drug Disease Model Resources (DDMoRe) consortium, you will contribute to the improvement of markup languages and associated metadata in modelling and simulation environments, as well as develop software to support them.
