Job Description: 

We are offering exciting opportunities for highly motivated individuals seeking to apply their expertise in genomics and bioinformatics in a commercial environment. The successful applicant would be integrally involved in all aspects of projects from planning phase to completion & delivery of contracts for academic and industrial customers. In addition the role would be involved in service and system development (writing code & algorithms) for a large range of data types including NGS, epigenetics, proteomics and metabolomics (chromatography-mass spectrometry-based).

Requirements: 

We are seeking to recruit a Bioinformatician ideally educated to Masters or PhD level (or equivalent) with formal training in biological sciences; preferably but not limited to, pharmacology, physiology, immunology, molecular biology, proteomics or genomics.
You will be proficient in the computational analysis of high-dimensional functional genomics data or the development of computational tools for given purpose, and will be highly competent using applied statistics. You will be highly computer literate and have experience in dealing with large quantities of high-throughput genomics data, preferably microarray and/ or next generation sequencing data. You will be experienced in using R/Bioconductor and scripting languages such as Perl, Python or Ruby preferably in a Linux environment.
Experience of working in or for the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry would be advantageous. You will be well organized and have good communication skills as you will be required to interface directly with clients and be expected to lead a number of data analysis projects simultaneously.
