The Yale Center for Genome Analysis (YCGA) is seeking an Associate Director. YCGA is using diverse cutting-edge next generation sequencing technologies to advance the biomedical and life sciences. YCGA is a key resource for the broad Yale biomedical and life sciences community, and has more than 350 users. In the last year, YCGA produced more than 100 terabases of DNA sequence, including more than 15,000 human exomes, resulting in high impact papers in journals including Nature, Science, Cell, Nature Genetics, and Genes and Development. The Associate Director will be responsible for directing data production and technology development, and will also interact with users and bioinformatics IT staff. The successful candidate will have an M.D. or Ph.D. degree and be highly motivated, with a strong record of experience and success in molecular genetics with experience in production and analysis of next generation sequence data. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have demonstrated leadership ability.
