Monitors and establishes quality of lab tests performed at multiple Hospital and Ambulatory satellite locations. Ensures standardized policies, procedures, and best practices are consistently followed. Works directly with CHOP staff with diverse backgrounds to meet this goal. Participates in regulatory inspections to prepare staff and ensure continuing lab accreditation. Has advanced experience and or laboratory training that give this candidate the ability to perform this service in multiple and highly specialized testing locations as assigned. At the direction of the Director and Manager, leads projects for procedure development, product evaluation to ensure cutting edge technology is utilized, quality monitors, regulatory compliance and other technical duties. Prepares policy and procedure manual drafts.
B.S. in Medical Technology or other science related field. MT(ASCP) or other specialty certification preferred. 3-5 years lab experience. Excellent organization, communication and multi-tasking skills are needed. Knowledge of Microsoft office essential. Car needed for some travel to CHOP satellite locations.
