Job Description: 

Gustave Roussy (2700 employees), Europe’s leading center for the fight against cancer, is looking for a biostatistician/bioinformatician responsible of its onco-immunology data analysis platform. His/her mission consists of:

  • Statistical and data analysis of clinical trials and epidemiological studies
  • Analysis and integration of data generated by microscopy (e.g. cytology, histology)
  • Supporting routine bioinformatics analyses (e.g. sequence analysis, microarray)
  • Developing and managing biomedical databases
  • Contributing to presentations and scientific publications
  • Organising scientific and technological intelligence
Requirements: 
  • At least MSc (or equivalent) in statistics, computer sciences, informatics, biology and related areas
  • Excellent background in biostatistics, data mining and bioinformatics
  • Demonstrated experience of applying data analysis strategies to human health
  • Good command of programming languages such as R, SAS, Matlab, SQL, Perl/Python or Java
  • Proficiency in using bioinformatics, imaging and data analysis software
  • Good sense of organization, discipline and customer services
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge of English
  • Interest in biology/medicine is a plus
