Field Application Specialist – Flow Cytometry

Job Description: 

Reporting to the Vice President of Commercial Operations, the Field Applications Specialist is responsible for installing, training, and supporting IncellDx’s instruments in clinical laboratories throughout the US and globally.

Install flow cytometers at customer sites and train operators on instrumentation
Perform in-coming QC inspections on instruments, reagents, and RMA product
Perform field service on customer instrumentation
Develop documentation and training materials for new assays and instrumentation
Support Sales at trade shows and meetings
Conduct product demonstrations and technical seminars
Perform analytical tests in support of Product Development
Provide customer phone support
Survey customers on their installation experience in a timely manner
Maintain an ISO 13485 compliant customer database
Submit accurate and timely expense reports


BS degree, preferably in microbiology or life sciences
Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to make group presentations
Good organizational and troubleshooting skills
Pleasant personality, able to build rapport with customers
Professional appearance and demeanor
50% travel time
1-2 years field experience
Self-confident, ability to work independently; self-starter
Highly Desirable
Knowledge of flow cytometry, ideally experience with multiple flow cytometers
Experience in the Molecular Diagnostics industry. Knowledge of the clinical environment and workflow
MS degree in Life Sciences
3-5 years field experience
