Working with our existing team, and building on our existing know-how and IP, you will be working to deliver a novel protein microarray platform. This may involve benchmarking against existing research or diagnostic assays, and optimising reagents and assays for use in existing Avacta detection platforms. You will also be part of the larger Discovery Technology R&D group, reporting to the Head of R&D.
Essential attributes:PhD in molecular biology or equivalent experience such as 3 years working in a research lab; experience of using microarray technology, ideally protein microarrays; the ability to work efficiently and as part of a multidisciplinary team; the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, professionalism, care, accuracy and reliability under pressure to resolve complex customer issues; good communication skills; a bold and innovative nature and a desire to be fully involved in driving the growth of the business.
Specific requirements:extensive experience of multiplexed assays or microarray technology; ideally experience of product and/or assay standardization and development in the diagnostic sector.
Salary: £30,000-35,000 - p.a. according to qualifications and relevant experience.
