Provides operational readiness for the SAP system landscape as it evolves through development, test, QA and production. Performs system installation, user administration, system access management, performance monitoring, system upgrades, and applies system patches (OSS notes, support packages, add-ons).

Responsibilities:
• Installs, configures and maintains the basis components of SAP systems and external interfaces
• Assists in the planning, designing and architecting of the SAP landscape across a variety of platforms and databases
• Installs support packs, conducts upgrades, performs system refreshes, administers databases, and conducts failover tests of production systems
• Diagnoses and resolves problems; monitors and tunes performance
• Reports progress to goals, identifies key risks and mitigation strategies, and provides direct support for other process teams
• Works extensively with others within the SAP group, the IT Department and with others outside the IT Department
• Provides SAP support for acquisitions and related integrations
• Assists in creating and maintaining new and existing SOX controls, participate in internal and external auditing procedures

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience
• Minimum of 10 years of professional IT application development and support experience, including at least 8 years of SAP application experience as a Basis Administrator, experience to include ECC 6.0 and SM 4.0
• Previous experience running SAP in a VMware/2003R2/SQL2005 environment is a strong plus
• Hands on experience with NetAPP storage devices and applications, i.e. SNAPmanager for SAP is desired
• Demonstrated experience in designing, managing and monitoring compliance with SOX policies and procedures in SAP environment
• Experience working with internal and external auditors related to review and sign-off
• Familiarity with development and execution of validation plans and qualification protocols is a plus
• Extensive knowledge with SAP JAVA AS installation, configuration and debugging
• Strong expertise supporting MSSQL 2005
• Basic ABAP programming skills a strong plus
• Knowledge of SAP Script and Smart Forms maintenance a strong plus
• In depth knowledge of broad range of SAP Technical areas including transport management systems and web applications servers
• Knowledge of using professional concepts and company's policies and procedures to solve a variety problems; works on problems of moderate scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors; exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices; normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments
