Job Description: 

Ambrx is a biopharmaceutical company enabling a new field of protein medicinal chemistry, using a fundamentally new technology that directs incorporation of amino acids beyond nature’s conserved set into biosynthetic proteins to produce high value biologics products. Ambrx is seeking a highly motivated scientist to be a key member of a fast-paced and dynamic organization.

As part of a team, the ideal candidate will produce therapeutic proteins in mammalian cells and to help mature Ambrx’s mammalian stable cell line technology platform. We are looking for a highly energetic, collaborative and creative researcher with a passion for science.

Requirements: 

1.Bachelor or MS degree in biology Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry.
2.2-3 years experience in mammalian cell line development.
3.Experience using suspension CHO cells to produce therapeutic proteins, especially antibodies.
4.Experience in ELISA and/or other measures of cell line productivity.
5.Experience in laboratory automation a plus.
6.Strong written and oral communication skills.
7.Strong organizational skills and the ability to document experimental results.
8.The ability to succeed in a multidisciplinary, fast paced and diverse team environment
