Full-time Senior Research Coordinator

Job Description: 

Perdana University Graduate School of Medicine (PUGSOM) in Selangor, Malaysia (located approximately 25 minutes from downtown Kuala Lumpur), seeks to fill a full-time, staff position as a Senior Research Coordinator. This position will be part of the PUGSOM Center for Clinical and Translational Research (CCTR). The mission of the PUGSOM CCTR is to accelerate the translation of biomedical research to clinical and public health practice in Malaysia by facilitating interactive collaboration across disciplines in key health priority areas.

Specific duties:
• Protocol development
• Site logistics including resource needs and budgeting
• Protocol training
• Oversight of data collection; recruitment, screening and enrollment of volunteers; development of data collection instruments
• Administration of study material, including but not limited to study documentation, maintenance of volunteer research records, maintenance of written study logs, data confidentiality
• Help ensure that studies are conducted within all ethical guidelines
• Assist with regulatory process
• Attend mandatory training as necessary including but not limited to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), CITI human subject research ethics training, biohazard training
• Review study activities, monitoring reports, for quality control; responsible for reporting and correcting deficiencies.

Requirements: 

The successful applicant must possess a B.S. or M.S. degree, preferably with epidemiologic research experience. The candidate will be expected to coordinate research projects with Principal Investigators (local and international), faculty, staff, study team, clinics, and students. The candidate will be responsible for oversight of the day to day operations of the CCTR, and manage 2-5 data analysts and junior research staff. The CCTR will work closely with faculty and staff from the Johns Hopkins University. Candidates should be fluent in written and spoken English.
