The role of the Project Manager II is to lead cross functional project teams to develop system level products including hardware, software, plastic consumables and reagents. This position will be responsible for project planning, management of critical path and leading project teams. This position would also require the ability to handle projects that are complex in scope. Activities will also include managing initiation, execution and close of projects. Other activities include project documentation, facilitation of team meetings with associated follow up on action items and tracking and communication of project performance.
•BA/BS degree in life sciences or engineering required.
•Project management training and certification required.
•Experience in managing or developing new product development projects for 5+ years required.
•Prior knowledge of managing or developing instrument projects a plus.
•Knowledge of ISO9001 a plus.
•Ability to lead teams independently and to make decisions.
•Ability to deal with moderate levels of uncertainty.
•Excellent communication skills in writing and verbal presentation.
•Strong time management, organization and multi-tasking skills. Needs solid analytical skills.
•Proficient in standard project management tools.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio and Project software.
